If you are a member of Washington Romance Writers and you would like to access the Members Only areas, you may register here. Please note that access will not be instant. That’s because we need to verify your WRW membership before we can activate your account, so please register using the same name and email account that you used to apply for membership with WRW. (You can set your “username” for anything you like.) This process may take a couple of days because it requires the participation of several volunteers who may or may not be available at the exact moment that you register. (But if you haven’t heard from us in more than four days, please send an e-mail to the WRW Web Site Staff and let us know.)
Also note that this registration only grants you access to the Members Only section of the WRW Web site. It does not register you as a member of Washington Romance Writers.
And, one final caveat: We cannot guarantee you access to the Members Only section. While testing things out we discovered to our dismay that some people were unable to register from their computers. Our designer assures us that there is nothing on our end that might block anyone from registering, so we can only conclude that it’s something on the other end of the process. Firewall settings may have something to do with it. Also something called Referrer Information.
In some cases, when someone was unable to register from their computers, we were able to setup a temporary password for them and after that they could access the site from their computers. So if you fill out the registration form and get an error message that says, “You are not authorized to perform this action"—please e-mail us and we will setup a temporary password for you. Hopefully that will fix the problem because that is as far as our poor troubleshooting skills can carry us. Rest assured, though, that all of the vital WRW member information that is posted to the Members Only section will continue to go out on the WRW Membership Yahoo group distribution, just like always.
