Patty Suchy http://www.novelexplorations.com

Patty Suchy's learned a lot from WRW and now will be putting most of those lessons learned into non-fiction efforts rather than fiction. Her passion for the written word also carries over into a business she created 10 years ago—Novel Explorations, Where Fiction and Travel Merge. You can check out her latest travel offerings on her Web site, which is in the process of being updated and reformatted to promote the many wonderful writers she's had the opportunity to meet.   #

A WRW member since 1997, Hope Tarr dreamt of being a romance writer from the time she traded in her storybook fairytales a la Disney for more mature versions of romance by Anya Seton, Daphne du Maurier, and Victoria Holt. That dream has weathered a Master's Degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Education. In 1994 she wandered into a bookstore where she picked up a small pink paperback, Kathryn Falk's How to Write a Romance and Get It Published. She's never looked back. Today Hope is the author of a dozen (and counting) historical and contemporary romances for Berkley, Medallion Press, and Harlequin. Her Scottish-set Medieval, Bound to Please (July 2008) was the launch for Harlequin Blaze's Historical Miniseries. Hope lives in Manhattan where the people and sights provide a boundless well of creative inspiration. In addition to her web site and blog at http://www.hopetarr.com, you can find her online at Facebook and Twitter.  #

I’m originally from Kansas. But when my house landed on the wicked witch of the west, I came east. That was 1972 and I’ve lived in suburban MD since then. I love lime green fingernail polish and flatfooting to Bluegrass music. If you want to know about tomato horn worms, don’t ask me. I can tell you how a grandson can melt your heart or a daughter graduating from college at age thirty can make tears of pride well in your eyes. And over the last fifty odd years, I’ve learned about the endurance of friendship and the power of love. That’s what it’s all about – right? I've been a member of WRW since 1997 and have served as the Tape Queen for nine years. I write contemporary romantic comedy under the name M. K. Trent. My first sale, Locking Horns, is an April 2008 print release from The Wild Rose Press.  #
image Linda Voss

Her first published book on virtual reality sold for $350.00 a copy. Her last published was an essay for Crumbs in the Keyboard. All proceeds were donated to the Center for Women and Families in the name of former WRW member Nancy Richards-Akers, a victim of domestic violence. From $350 a copy to no royalties, hmmm . . . Well, doing things backwards is normal for this writer of historicals. Linda Voss (aka Kaitlynn Merlot) is working on a New Orleans series that starts with the casket girls imported to the new colony from France's orphanages. It ends with landed aristocrat Lianna Amande's daughter, Adelle St. Claire, who gets tangled up with a blockade runner during the Civil War. The writing, however, started in the middle.   #
