Washington Romance Writers (WRW) is an affiliate chapter of Romance Writers of America (RWA), a national, non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting excellence in romantic fiction. Founded in 1982, WRW’s membership currently exceeds 240. Our members are primarily located in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Membership in WRW is available to anyone who is a member of RWA.

Dear WRW Member,
This is THE event for anyone who has a book on the shelves, or is hoping to have one there. All of the local booksellers and librarians in the Washington region are invited to join us for lunch. It is a great opportunity to meet them, schmooze, and get your promo material and/or name in their hands and minds.
This year we have our own fabulous Kathleen Gilles Seidel as our keynote speaker. Most of you know just what a great speaker she is, but for those of you who have never heard Kathy speak, come take advantage of this terrific opportunity.
The luncheon will be on Sunday, April 6th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We are really excited about our new venue this year, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Silver Spring, MD. It is easily accessible from both I-495 and the Metro.
We will have author tables, as usual, for you to set up your promo materials, and ten tables for ten lucky authors to sponsor. Please contact either of us for more information. And if you have a favorite bookseller who has promoted romance books beyond the normal call of duty, please email either of us to nominate him or her for the Melinda Helfer Award, which we will be presenting at the luncheon.
